A Fluffy Arktos Refresh – we shall call it the V1.5

   Our critics have and continue to speak about the versatility and fun level of the Arktos 6x6. Most recently, it topped the list of best crawlers under $200 on the ever-popular Do U RC channel. With over a year on the market, the accolades keep pouring in. So, while the new V1.5 hasn’t changed much, we wanted to take the time to keep up with the latest electronic conveniences from FlySky system as well as make a few small updates so we continue to spark this type of comment - "The most fun I've had with an RC in absolutely ages."

   The latest in FlySky technology/configuration allows for the existing transmitter and receiver to be integrated seamlessly with a brushless ESC/Motor. This eliminates the need for a new standalone receiver or a new transmitter. It’s a simple aux input in the receiver that allows for this seamless transition. Our Hobbywing mini24 lite with 1621 3500kv outrunner brushless motor is an easy plug and play upgrade.

   We top off the changes with a revised Xt30 power plug on the battery, two new colors to choose from – sand and green, along with super soft 60mm MT tires wrapped around blacked out beadlock wheels. While rolling on a new look, the all metal transmission gears have been updated and give longevity our users have come to know of the Evo Transmission. 

    The complete Arktos package continues to lend itself well to the curiosity of the consumers. Curiosity in the remote two-speed transmission, remote operated LED lights with 5 modes, a remote working rear recovery winch, deployable and storable access ramps, a versatile flat bed with hinged bed side rails for larger loads and adjustable wheel chocks, a hard body that consist of fine crisp detail throughout including retractable side mirrors, windshield wipers, sun visor, side marker lights, blinkers, low/high beams, LED offroad light bar, bull bar and tinted windows. 

   The curiosity only increases when the sharp departure and approach angles are super generous for those impossible obstacles, a portal axle high clearance axle design that clears more debris than it should, a solid HD driveshaft system with a high torque 280 motor that propels the 6x6 up and over the most extreme ascents and all controlled by an anti-roll bar, oil-filled coil over spring shocks, super low gear ratio, and a strong metal gear 1.5kg sterring servo. The Arktos truly is a unique offering that continues to surprise the new to RC consumer and the RC veterans, alike.
